Discussion of UFT313

Thursday, April 30th, 2015

Good to hear from Dr. Douglas Lindstrom whose comments are inductive and interesting as ever. The second Bianchi identity with torsion (JCE and BCE identities) depend on the Cartan identity and not on the first Bianchi identity. I know that all chemists would throw up immediately at UFT313 unless they have put in ten thousand laps of training and many years of hard study as we have done at AIAS. So to put it in vector format is a good idea, and I can start on that straight away, building on papers such as UFT255. In fact UFT313 is not all that terrible, it is linear algebra with a few rules of tensor algebra. Finding the right way to the second Bianchi identity from the Jacobi identity took me twenty years, because no textbook ever gave the details needed. It is highly non trivial, and Ricci must have inferred his identity before the second Bianchi identity was inferred. Levi-Civita mentioned that it was Ricci who actually inferred the second Bianchi identity in 1880. The Ricci identity so called is not in fact an identity, it is simply the rule for covariant differentiation of a rank two tensor. This rule is needed to go from the first to the second Bianchi identities. So there are all kinds of misnaming and obscurantism that had to be cleared away before UFT313 took shape. It is useful when used with ECE theory based on the Cartan identity (UFT303). The Cartan identity as you know is the first Bianchi identity with torsion, which also works its way in to the Ricci identity. Torsion was of course unknown both to Ricci and Bianchi. So in summary the misnamed first and second Bianchi identities of the standard model are not identities at all. All mathematicians actually agree on this, but almost no physicists know it, and certainly no chemists or engineers, unless they are fans of ECE theory, then they all know it by now. The correct and exact identities are the Cartan identity and the JCE and BCE identities of UFT313. The First Evans identity is also an exact identity. It was discovered in UFT109 and a very remarkable result of UFT313 is that it comes out of the Jacobi identity. Another very remarkable result of UFT313 is that the Cartan identity also comes out of the Jacobi identity. The latter is the most fundamental identity of all group theory, obeyed by all group generators. It is also true in vector algebra.

Subj: Re: Engineering Model and Flow Charts

Myron, Horst I tend to agree with the comments made by Horst. I don’t know any engineers who think in 4d that alone non-Euclidean geometries. (Some would stop the sentence after think-I can say this because my ph.d is in engineering and I have taught quite a few …..). Enough tom foolery..
Perhaps two documents are required, one summarizing the current state of the ECE model, and the second being the engineering model.

I will go through paper 313 tomorrow and see if I can understand it. We badly need a nonlinear substitute for the second Bianchi equation that is not dependent on the first Bianchi equation. This paper may contain that. The standard second Bianchi basically reduces to d^R=0. This is a classical linear field supporting periodic waves, etc., and gauging for the spin connection. This doesn’t seem correct for a nonlinear theory.

By itself, the above state is the electromagnetic vacuum (zero torsion) but non-zero tetrads or spins. It would be good if this vacuum state supported the nonlinear traveling waves that Horst and I wrote about a couple of years ago.

Good work both of you.

The use of any relevant keywords on Google shows that all 311 items to date of the UFT Section will be in the Google front pages, often in number one position on the first page. UFT311 is impotrant and popular because it proves the existence of the spin connection experimentally, and of course UFT88 is a classic which has just been updated to UFT313.

I would prefer considering only the “macroscopic” equations for the engineering model. In principle they are useable for engineering, but the document “engineering model” is of course much too high level to be directly applicable to engineering. In so for the name may be not the best.

What about letting the engineering model document as is (updating it with actual equations in vector form) and re-arranging the flow charts we had made years ago. This is the right place for all original ECE equations and identities.

It would be interesting to derive vector forms of these identities. I see a certain problem with the Ricci Evans identity because it requires the application to a vector V. What is V in the engineering model? e-m fields and potentials have at least two indices.

Google Keywords, Exact Titles

Thursday, April 30th, 2015

Playing around with Google keywords for each of the 312 UFT items brings out a lot of information. Using UFT249 for example: Electron Spin Orbit Resonance without ” ” brings up the paper as number eight on the first page out of 1,190,000 results. For the classic UFT88 The Bianchi Identity of Differential Geometry without ” ” puts the paper in pole position as expected, number one on the first page of Google, and also number nine on the home page, out of 45,500 results. In order to get a meaningful indicator use less and less keywords to find how long it stays on the first few Google pages. This is a great deal of fun, and you can ask your grandchildren to do this. It would send them to sleep immediately and giving their parents some much needed rest. After their teeth grow they become super energetic. Google uses about two hundred indicators to determine the position of an item, notably quality and impact. It also uses a website filter and spiders www.aias.us very heavily.

Indicators from the Scientometrics

Thursday, April 30th, 2015

There is an unprecedented mass of scientometrical data available which can be used to build up many different indicators of the impact of ECE theory. This has been built up every day, almost without a break, for eleven years, 30th April 2004 to 30th April 2015, and is a unique data bank. One of the most important is the quality indicator, which measures the quality of sustained visits from the best universities in the world. This is given in Section Two of the attached volume two. The quality indicator is built up by taking all the different universities in the Webometrics top twenty in the world and the THES top twenty in the world. These are listed at the start of Section Two. There are twenty nine different universities in the two lists. The quality indicator shows that staff and students from these twenty nine universities have been studying the www.aias.us website for eleven years. The great majority of visits from universities, institutes, polytechnics and similar are from the top two hundred in the world measured by Webometrics, THES or other rankings. Webometrics ranks over twenty thousand universities. Webometrics and scientometrics are two new sciences of the last fifteen years or so, making citation completely obsolete. Another important indicator is long term impact, measured by a number of sub indicators including distinct visits (reading sessions), files downloaded (hits), page views, gigabytes downloaded, number of countries and number of items read. These are reported every end of the month. The long term impact is summarized in Section One of the attached, back to May 2002. The ECE theory made a meteoric impact in 2003, when it first appeared, immediately debated the standard model, and has been sustained at a very high plateau ever since. The data bank is of such high quality statistically that it can be used to extrapolate the impact of ECE well in to the future with essentially complete confidence. The theory will outlast all of us here. All of this is summarized in UFT307 which will be published shortly as a softback:

M. W. Evans, “Collected Scientometrics” (Joint Venture with New Generation Publishing of London at £8.99, copyright M. W. Evans, Volume One).

A third important indicator is the number of UFT papers read every month. Since the theory began, all the papers, essays, books and indeed all three thousand items on www.aisa.us have been read each month. UFT307 contains a survey of Dec. 2014 proving this. A fourth important indicator is which items are read in which places, ans this is given every early morning. A fifth impotrant indicator is Google Scholar. All the UFT papers and books are in Google Scholar, both in English and Spanish. Finally a sixth important indicator is the use of Google keywords, initially selected to be as broad based as possible. As the keywords begin to match the title of a UFT paper more an more closely, the UFT paper will almost inevitably reach number one on the first page of google. This is true for all 312 UFT items in English and about 200 in Spanish, and also true for over a hundred essays in English and Spanish. The obsolete standard model does not have any of these indicators, and there is no university department in the world which has this kind of data bank available. The claims of the standard modellers are based on uncritical self citation. The only measure they have is citation of the standard model by standard modellers. So it is a club like any other. Jobs, promotions, prizes and so on are awarded to members of the club only. This is hardly new, just human nature, the very thing that my ancestral cousin Francis Bacon wanted to get rid of.

FOR POSTING: UFT313 and Background Notes

Wednesday, April 29th, 2015

This paper infers several new identities of tensor algebra and corrects the second Bianchi identity of 1902 for torsion. It proves that the Einstein field equation was based on the wrong geometry. The Einstein theory has been corrected and extended into the ECE unified field theory. This progress is widely accepted internationally as UFT307 shows.

Discussion of Final Form of Note 313(6)

Wednesday, April 29th, 2015

Many thanks to co author Horst Eckardt! Agreed with this and I think that the minus sign should also appear in Eq. (7), last two terms. So I will proceed to write this up today as UFT313. The original second Bianchi identity of 1902 is Eq. (8), which was used in the Einstein field equation. So the latter is completely incorrect geometrically. This was first shown in UFT88, and developed in very well studied papers such as UFT99, UFT109, UFT255 and UFT281, and in the equally well studied definitive proofs. UFT313 is much clearer and more elegant than UFT88, although the latter is by now a classic paper. It appears that Ricci derived Eq. (8) as early as 1880, and it was rediscovered in 1902. They both worked at the elite Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa. Recently UFT88 was studied from SNS Pisa.

It seems that in eq. (4) there must be a negative sign in front of the brackets with the torsion terms. The rest is o.k.

This is the final form of note 313(6) and the final format of the Jacobi Cartan Evans (JCE) identity is Eq, (7). It is seen that three terms are added to the 1902 second Bianchi identity, proving in another way that Einsteinian general relativity is irretrievably incorrect. The Jacobi identity produces the Cartan identity, First Evans identity and the JCE identity simultaneously. The choice of symmetric connection cannot be made, because this results in a null commutator, null curvature and null torsion, and no gravitation at all. So I will now proceed to writing up UFT313 in co authorship with Horst Eckardt.

Jacobi Identity for any Group Generator

Tuesday, April 28th, 2015

The Jacobi identity holds for any group generator, so there may be other new discoveries around the corner. The group generator in the case of general relativity is the covariant derivative. In the Lorentz group of special relativity there are boost and rotation generators, and in the Poincare group there are boost, rotation and spacetime translation generators, introduced by Wigner. They key to progress is finding the equivalent of torsion in all these groups. There are also applications of the Jacobi identity in quantum mechanics, when it operates on the wavefunction. As is well known by now, torsion in ECE theory generates the field tensors in a space with non zero spin connection. I hope to have UFT313 finished and distributed tomorrow, once Horst has checked the final note 313(8). For example the First Evans identity is a cyclical relation between the field tensors either of gravitation or electromagnetism, or both. This may give a clue as to the interaction of electromagnetism and gravitation.

Final Form of Note 313(6)
